Crane Limit Switch

The crane limit switch is a safety device which including traveling limit switch and load limit switch. Traveling limit switch used both on crane and hoist or trolley. Load limit switch used on hoist and trolley.Traveling limit switch control the travel of the working machine, while the limit switch control the position of the working machine, and often the terminal position or limit position.

 

Limit Switch on Crane

Limit switches on crane usually cut the power to the drive motor when the crane moves beyond the travel limit. Usually installed traveling limit switch or cross limit switch.

Traveling limiter is an insurance device that prevents a crane from colliding or restricting the travel within a certain range. It is usually installed on the inside of the active platform, mainly to install a stroke switch that can be pushed. Another at the end of the track (running limit position) to install a fixed limit position of the baffle. When the crane operation to the position, limit baffle will touch the limit switch, cut off the control of the power of walking, then crane can only traveling to the opposite direction when closing.
